If you haven't followed me yet, here's my account: https://www.instagram.com/x88x/

Please follow! I'm very active in posting my WIP kits there since making reviews take time because I need to build the kit first LOL and seeing my posts might entertain you while the actual review isn't available yet :D

Gundam Review: HGUC 1/144 RX-78-2 Ver. G30th

Good afternoon guys!

So I said in my previous post that my HGUC 1/144 Unicorn Gundam is my last kit in the UC era... Well.... I lied XD

This is technically my first UC kit and my first RX-78-2 gundam that I got in my gunpla hobby run. I got him because the box art got my attention and also because I didn't  know there was an older HGUC variant.

My first HGUC kit and my 3rd oldest kit in my collection, it comes after my NG 1/144 Deathscythe Gundam and HG 1/144 Strike Noir Gundam.

After I built my Strike Noir, I can't help myself but to look for another kit I can build. Early gunpla builders can relate when you're just new into the hobby and the "poison" slowly consumes you.. LOL!

It's a fun hobby don't get me wrong that's why I can't contain myself from buying new kits even if I just built one.

Anyway, let's get on with the review!

HG 1/144 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode)

Good Morning everyone!

The last kit in my HGUC 1/144 scale, the other white horned devil. The one that always receives a lot of jokes because of its name.

Then again, it became one of the most iconic designs in Gundam history. Piloted by Banagher Links, a kid born from a rich bloodline but sadly he's illegitimate. His father still approves of him though and even entrusted the MS to him to protect the Laplaces box.

I can go on with the story but I'd recommend that you watch the ova series instead (It's has a 7 part mini movie series or the televised 25 eps format, just choose which one you can manage.)

Gundam Review: MG 1/100 Mobile Suit RX-79 [G] Ez-8

Good Afternoon everyone!

It's been a while since I built an MG kit out of the box that's why it took a while to make this post. It's a kit that has a special place in my heart because it's my top most favorite series in Gundam Universe.

I love the Universal Century for how close it is to our timeline and the realistic aspects it has in the battlefield.

This particular mobile suit comes from a time during the One Year War. While Amuro and the gang in the White base are busy doing their stuff in space, these group is dealing with another issue back on earth.

I'm talking about the 08th MS Team, a ground team that carries out skirmishes and gathering intel for the Fedaration.

This team is headed by Shiro Amada, one of the most underrated pilots in my opinion. He's not a Newtype like Amuro but he does have natural talents to carry out their missions effectively.

I got this kit from one of my go to stores, Wasabi Toys, they have a lot of kits for a fair price so do check out their site if you wanna avail good prices! Membership is free so go now!

This kit is my comeback kit to the gunpla scene. I've been away for almost 3 years and I don't know what kit to get actually. Then I saw this kit in the shelves.. Just waiting there.

Gundam Review: NG 1/144 XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam

Good Morning Everyone!

Here's the last of my NG Wing kits because sadly, I don't have Sandrock yet. I do plan to get him someday if I ever come across him in stores, these kits are hard to come by nowadays but they appear on occasions.

I already made a review for Wing Gundam:

Heavarms Gundam:

And my previous review, Gundam Deathscythe:

So do check them out to see their differences!

Anyway, the next one is piloted by Wufei, he's like Heero in terms of determination and hunger for power but he expresses himself more rather than being silent and mysterious like Heero.

The Gundam with the Chinese motif and dragon arm that reaches you no matter how far you are and burns you to a crisp, the Shenlong Gundam.

*For those wondering, Wufei affectionately calls all his suits "Nataku" as a reference to his wife, so all his suits are technically called "Nataku".

Gundam Review: MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam ver. 2.0

Good Afternoon guys!

I should've done this a long time ago.

I present to you the Grand daddy Gundam, all in its Master Grade glory. This is the 2.0 version which for me is one of the best kits Bandai has ever produce until the 3.0 version came out.

It's kinda weird to be into gunpla and not have any form of the RX-78. It's like a mandatory build for anybody who's into this hobby.

It doesn't matter what scale it is, it's THE Grand daddy Gundam, the one what started it all.

I build this prior to this blog but I managed to take pictures of the assembly because I really love this kit LOL.

Anyway, Let's start the review!

Still alive!

Damn. I forgot I had this blog.

Hi guys. Sorry for not posting the reviews I mentioned ages ago.

Ever since I started working as a Chef, my priorities are pretty f*cked up.

But I'll see what I can do to keep this blog going. I have tons and I mean TONS of new stuff. Sadly most of them are in the Philippines.

Oh yeah, I left Manila Hotel last year and I'm currently working in Intercontinental Qatar. Quite the leap huh? Been here since Aug 2014.

Big step for me. It was having second thoughts at first because I'll be far from my family again and second, there are no hobby stores anywhere!

Or So I thought...

Gundam Review: MG 1/100 Gundam Astray Red Frame

Hey guys!

It's been like forever since my last post eh?

Well, sorry bout that. As usual I'm busy with work, making money so I can buy more stuff to review for you guys reading my blog.

I'm amazed how my blog is still racking up some views haha!!

So for now, I have a lot of backlog of figures to review.. As in A LOT!! I'll really find time to show all of them to you guys :3

For now, Let's take a look on one of the most bad ass MS in the Gundam universe. It's none other than the Red Frame Astray from the SEED/Destiny universe.

I don't know much about the Astray stuff but I do know that it happened in the SEED/Destiny Universe haha!

So let's get it on! It's gonna be lengthy one since it's a master grade :D

Revoltech Yamaguchi Review: EVA-01 New Movie Edition Awakening Ver.

Hey guys!

I apologize for a late post.. As usual, work has been occupying most of my time. Even in my day offs, I barely have time for myself D:

Anyway, it's 12:28 AM right now in my place but I'll finish this review before I sleep :D

So......... Here's the continuation of my "Revoltech Fever".

If you haven't seen the first post, click here:

http://gunmod88.blogspot.com/2013/04/revoltech-review-fraulein-revoltech.html

If you're done with that, lets continue!

I present to you one of the most bad ass mech's in the Mecha universe. Eva unit-01. The main character of the Evangelion series. But this one is in it's Awakening version.

You can only see this guy in action in Part 2 of the Rebuil of Eva movie series. He is one bad ass motherf*cker. He has one of the most memorable scene in the entire movie. Don't wanna spoil much so let's get on with the review!

Boxart:

Here's the front of the box. It's not one of those "book type" boxes but it still looks good. You can see various info on the sides and it has that promotional sleeve which is tattered already when I bought it.

Revoltech Review: Fraulein Revoltech Ayanami Rei

Hey Guys!

I'm sorry that I'm not posting as often as before. I'm always night shift so I'm pretty much tired as hell every night XD

Luckily, it's my day off today so I decided to finish a figure review :D

I present to you Ayanami Rei in revoltech form :D As usual, I got this awesome item from my favorite hobby shop: Great Toys Online :D This version is based from the original animation of the series, before the Rebuild series.

For the uninitiated, Rei is a one of the most famous chfaracters in the anime world. She is often depicted as someone who is very fragile, quiet and anti-social. She is usually the first person you'll see in any Evangelion merchandise aside from Asuka or any of the Eva units.

She comes from the series "Neon Genesis Evangelion". If you don't know that, well sucks to be you. But seriously, it's one of the anime's that you need to see not because it has a lot of sexy ladies but because of the story and characters. That show is very controversial as well.

I don't wanna discuss the entirety of Evangelion because that would take too much time and besides you can do your own researching :3

Let's start!

Boxart:

Very simple box art. She looks like she's in stasis or in a sealed chamber. Yeah, that extra head looks weird if you see it like this XD

Transformers Review: Henkei Transformers: Rodimus Prime

First of all, I know in my previous post I said that I'll be doing the revoltech figures first but I went with this one becuase it's faster and the figure is really awesome that I wanna share it with you guys XD

Second, I'm not sure if the title is correct XD I can't read Japanese but I do know that the figure is under the Henkei line released by Takara some time ago.

Anyway...........

Henkei is the counterpart of the Classics lien under Hasbro :D Most people like the Henkei version due to its TV accurate colors but Takara doesn't sell their figures cheap so others buy Hasbro because it's price friendly :D

*Note: Henkei is japanese for transform :D*

I saw this figure while I was paying for my gunpla kit (you'll know soon what it is soon :3) and decided to buy it as well since it's the best version of Rodimus in the Deluxe class.. In my opinion of course :D

I never really knew Rodimus until I stumbled upon him while searching for a revoltech starscream, from there, I researched him and he instantly became my favorite autobot and might be the only one I really like from their side XD

So let's begin!

Packaging:

I gotta say, Takara knows how to make their products attractive XD I really love their packagings, it has that vintage look to it :3

Transformers Review: Transformers Generations Legend Class: Thundercracker

Hey guys!

I bet no one saw this coming, a Transformers review!

It's my first Transformers figure in years, and I really mean yeeeaaaaaaaars...

Believe it or not, I'm a huge a Transformers fan, the old school version at least. I like the Michael Bay movies but it's not something I would watch over and over again..

It was just mostly special effects anyway and the robots look really complex and far from their original designs. Sure it's to advertise cars and modernizing things but meh.. Nothing beats the classics.

That's why my "growing" TF collection would be mostly likely designs from G1 and G2.. For now :D I do want to collect the Masterpiece series but they're helluva expensive so I might just pick the ones I really really like.

To start my collection, I present Thundercracker! One of the original Seeker jets! I saw this guy at a local toy store and not the hobby store I usually go to. I wanted to check the prices in a usual toy store first then compare it to my favorite hobby store. While browsing, I saw this guy and immediately fell in love XD

It's like the nostalgia pulled me towards it. I saw it from a far and having doubts if I should buy it.. It was on sale after all XD

Let's get it on with the review!

*I might have a different format for TF reviews than my usual Gunpla reviews*

Packaging:

This figure is brought to us by Hasbro, and long running toy company. I don't really know the difference between Hasbro and Takara versions XD

This is a Legends class, which means it's a pretty small figure but can still do the Transformation no problem :D

I dunno why he's not packed properly, because one of his guns is not positioned properly XD I searched the net, and they're all packed that way :))

It has the usual warning signs and the level of difficulty for transforming this guy, in this case, it's level 2 which is fairly easy that you don't even need instructions but they still included them :D

Overall nice packaging for something so small.
