Gunpla Review: NG 1/144 JDG-00X Devil Gundam

Good Evening Everyone!

Here I am again presenting a kit that I painted but this time with an airbrush. So pardon the flaws of my work hahaha! I still have a lot to learn, especially in the masking department @_@

This kit has been in my backlog for years now (around 2012) and I reserved it for the time I got my own airbrush. I have another kit that has been stored for a long time and I'll probably do that next.

This MS is one of the most famous Gunpla designs back in the day when things are made simple haha!

Nowadays, we have bigger and badder monstrous MS that can probably match this but this MS is from a show where logic knows no bounds.

Let's get it on!

Long story short, I had to get this to complete the Barbatos Lupus' look and its really worth getting. I got this from another local hobby store... I actually forgot the name XD But it's cool that they're the only that have it on stock and last piece too!

Gundam Review: HG IBO 1/144 Gundam Barbatos Lupus

Good evening everyone!

If you've been following me in instagram or twitter, you probably expect this review coming sooner or later.

I had a fun time building this kit despite the similarities it has with my previous kit review. I love the show and characters. It's so gritty and full of raw killing atmosphere.

Then again, compared to other universes, they're kinda left behind in the technology department. Despite that, these Gundam frames are still pieces of war machinery that showcased how powerful they are in their own way.

As I said in my previous review, I was very hesitant in buying the HG IBO 1/144 line due to the gundam kits being sticker dependent and that the grunt suits had better treatment.

I can paint the details but sometimes I'm lazy hahaha! Most of the 1/144 IBO kits try too keep their prices very cheap, hence the minimal color separations.

I got his kit from my local hobby store:

http://wasabitoys.com/

Do check them out, they have good prices for gunpla kits and they deliver locally and internationally!

Let's get it on!

HG IBO 1/144 Gundam Astaroth

Good afternoon everyone!

It's December! Wow, 2017 went by so fast.... Anyway, here I am with another gunpla review!

It's about time I got a kit from the IBO line. I love the show and the MS designs but I keep holding them off because a Master Grade might appear out of nowhere.

They do have the Full Mechanics 1/100 line but it's still not a Master Grade. It looks good but it still feels like a high end HG kit to me.

Anyway, another reason I keep brushing off IBO kits is because of how sticker heavy the kits are. It's nice that the kits are cheap but with a low price point means less colored parts.

Most of the HG kits look amazing and has awesome poseability but the usage of large foil stickers to cover big pieces is just a no no for me.

I can paint but I need motivation hahaha!

Also, this MS got my attention because of its asymmetrical design and weapons.

Let's get it on!

Gundam Review: HGUC 1/144 RX-78-2 Revive

Good Evening guys!

If you've been following me on instagram or twitter, you'll know how awesome this kit I'm gonna review.

Does it even need an introduction? Well, probably, since not everyone who builds gunpla is familiar with the history or lore associated with it.

Long story short, this guy is the Grand Daddy Gundam, the white devil, the big kahuna, the one where most gundams in the UC timeline are based on.

Also, this is from Bandai's recent HG releases with the tagline "Revive" They pretty much do something every 5th and 10th anniversary of the series.

This marks Bandai's 35th anniversary in the industry and as usual they release kits to associate this feat. The Revive line, as the name implies, upgrades some kits to today's standards, majority of the kits I saw are from the original MSG and Zeta series then they jumped to Seed/Destiny for some reason.

Anyway, let's discuss more in the review!

Gundam News: RG 1/144 Banshee Norn

Got this information from: https://www.gundamkitscollection.com/2017/11/rg-1144-banshee-norn-release-info.html

Release date: February 2018
Price: TBA

I'm not surprised about this kit announcement. They recently release the RG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam and the Banshee is most likely gonna follow it. What surprised me is that they went straight to the Norn variant and not the first version of the Banshee, the one with the rail gun and claw.

From there, they would probably release color variants and various finishes. Anyway, the prototype is currently displayed in Gundam Base Tokyo.

Along with the Banshee Norn, various new kits are also displayed. I only know of the Build Strike Galaxy Cosmos on the upper right of the pic.

I think it's the MS Sei Iori built in the finale of GBF season 1 but with slight changes. The other two kits, I'm not quite sure but it looks like more Origin releases.

What are your thoughts on these kit announcements? Leave a comment or share with others :D

HG 1/144 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode)

Good Morning everyone!

The last kit in my HGUC 1/144 scale, the other white horned devil. The one that always receives a lot of jokes because of its name.

Then again, it became one of the most iconic designs in Gundam history. Piloted by Banagher Links, a kid born from a rich bloodline but sadly he's illegitimate. His father still approves of him though and even entrusted the MS to him to protect the Laplaces box.

I can go on with the story but I'd recommend that you watch the ova series instead (It's has a 7 part mini movie series or the televised 25 eps format, just choose which one you can manage.)

Gundam Review: HG 1/144 LM312V04 Victory Gundam

Happy Sunday everyone!

Continuing my UC protagonist MS reviews, we'll time skip a bit near the end of the Universal Century. UC 0153 to be exact, it directly follows the events of F91 Gundam.

It follows around the adventure of Uso Ewin, the youngest protagonist in the Gundamverse, as member of the League Militaire, the AEUG like team fighting against the forces of the Zanscare Empire.

I haven't watched the actual show but I've seen clips of the MS in action as well as its upgrades and successors.

All I know is that this MS is mass produced and the frames are rather small, even smaller than the already tiny Wing kits. Also the show is infamous for being casualty heavy show meaning a lot of characters die... Think of Game of Thrones in space haha!

Anyway, let's get on with the review!

Gundam Review: HGUC 1/144 MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam

Good afternoon guys!

After my Zeta Gundam review, I went onto its successor. Piloted by Judau Ashta, claimed to be the strongest newtype in the UC era.

You can check out the Zeta Gundam review here:

Directly continues where Zeta Gundam left off, Judau takes the spotlight after Kamille succumbs to a a delusional state, an effect from Scirrocos newtype abilites.

Judau initially started with the Zeta Gundam at the beginning of the show and tends to get in all sorts of troubles with it. There was one episode where he used a Zaku head as a replacement for the damaged one and he was mistaken as an enemy lol.

Since Kamille's Zeta was a huge success, Anaheim Electronics continued developing it further and I came up with this beast, The ZZ Gundam.

Gundam review: HGUC 1/144 MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam

Good Afternoon guys!

A very hot afternoon here in the Philippines and despite the blazing glare of the sun, I still managed to make this post.

One electric fan isn't enough to lessen the rooms humidity... Well, what to do.

Anyway! What I have for you today is one of the first MS Gundam to ever have a transforming mechanism. Designed by Kamille Bidan (Yes, that's a mans name.) using an old Gundam RX-179 MK.II as his base frame.

Kamille is very talented individual for his young age both in written and practical aspects. He's also Newtype, a rare type of individual with heightened senses compared to an ordinary human being. A Newtype is basically the next step in human evolution and often occurs in beings living in space.

Let's get on with the review!

Gundam Review: MG 1/100 Mobile Suit RX-79 [G] Ez-8

Good Afternoon everyone!

It's been a while since I built an MG kit out of the box that's why it took a while to make this post. It's a kit that has a special place in my heart because it's my top most favorite series in Gundam Universe.

I love the Universal Century for how close it is to our timeline and the realistic aspects it has in the battlefield.

This particular mobile suit comes from a time during the One Year War. While Amuro and the gang in the White base are busy doing their stuff in space, these group is dealing with another issue back on earth.

I'm talking about the 08th MS Team, a ground team that carries out skirmishes and gathering intel for the Fedaration.

This team is headed by Shiro Amada, one of the most underrated pilots in my opinion. He's not a Newtype like Amuro but he does have natural talents to carry out their missions effectively.

I got this kit from one of my go to stores, Wasabi Toys, they have a lot of kits for a fair price so do check out their site if you wanna avail good prices! Membership is free so go now!

This kit is my comeback kit to the gunpla scene. I've been away for almost 3 years and I don't know what kit to get actually. Then I saw this kit in the shelves.. Just waiting there.

Gundam Review: NG 1/144 XXXG-01H Heavy Arms Gundam

Good Evening Everyone!

Surprised that another review is up? Well, to keep up with the theme "Throwback Thursday", I decided to post a follow up from my previous review about the Wing Gundam which you can view here:

What we have next is the Gundam who has a lot of stuff packed in its load out. Being Piloted by the silent but calm trow Barton which is the opposite of what his Gundam can do.

I present to you the Heavy Arms Gundam!

Gundam Review: NG 1/144 XXXG-01W Wing Gundam

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Since it's Thursday, I decided to do a throwback. I'm gonna review my old Gundam Wing kits from the 90's

Starting with the boy that wears a sando and shorts in any occasion, the silent but deadly protagonist pilot of the titular MS, Wing Gundam. The first suit from Operation Meteor that appeared in the show.

Let's admit it, we 90's kids pretty much opened our eyes to Gundam Wing as our "first" Gundam experience. Some may say Gundam X or Gundam G. I used to rush home so I can watch it in Toonami.

I've seen those too but I didn't know at the time that they're separate shows but nonetheless we were all amazed on how awesome these mechas fight and how they look so damn cool.

Anyway, Let's get on with the review.

Gundam Review: MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam ver. 2.0

Good Afternoon guys!

I should've done this a long time ago.

I present to you the Grand daddy Gundam, all in its Master Grade glory. This is the 2.0 version which for me is one of the best kits Bandai has ever produce until the 3.0 version came out.

It's kinda weird to be into gunpla and not have any form of the RX-78. It's like a mandatory build for anybody who's into this hobby.

It doesn't matter what scale it is, it's THE Grand daddy Gundam, the one what started it all.

I build this prior to this blog but I managed to take pictures of the assembly because I really love this kit LOL.

Anyway, Let's start the review!

I'm still alive ver 2.0. Making a comeback.

An overdue post.

I' sorry I let you guys down, I wasn't true to my word about what I said in my last post.

Things happen, long story short, life happened. I also returned home due to personal reasons.

Furthermore, I'll try (and I mean it this time) to revive this blog!

To be honest, I only checked the blogs status last night because it came across my mind and I got curious if it's still kicking.

Surprisingly, it's still racking up views.
