Revoltech Yamaguchi Review: EVA-01 New Movie Edition Awakening Ver.

I apologize for a late post.. As usual, work has been occupying most of my time. Even in my day offs, I barely have time for myself D:

Anyway, it's 12:28 AM right now in my place but I'll finish this review before I sleep :D

I present to you one of the most bad ass mech's in the Mecha universe. Eva unit-01. The main character of the Evangelion series. But this one is in it's Awakening version.

You can only see this guy in action in Part 2 of the Rebuil of Eva movie series. He is one bad ass motherf*cker. He has one of the most memorable scene in the entire movie. Don't wanna spoil much so let's get on with the review!

Here's the front of the box. It's not one of those "book type" boxes but it still looks good. You can see various info on the sides and it has that promotional sleeve which is tattered already when I bought it.

Revoltech Review: Fraulein Revoltech Ayanami Rei

Hey Guys!

I'm sorry that I'm not posting as often as before. I'm always night shift so I'm pretty much tired as hell every night XD 

Luckily, it's my day off today so I decided to finish a figure review :D

I present to you Ayanami Rei in revoltech form :D As usual, I got this awesome item from my favorite hobby shop: Great Toys Online :D This version is based from the original animation of the series, before the Rebuild series. 

For the uninitiated, Rei is a one of the most famous chfaracters in the anime world. She is often depicted as someone who is very fragile, quiet and anti-social. She is usually the first person you'll see in any Evangelion merchandise aside from Asuka or any of the Eva units. 

She comes from the series "Neon Genesis Evangelion". If you don't know that, well sucks to be you. But seriously, it's one of the anime's that you need to see not because it has a lot of sexy ladies but because of the story and characters. That show is very controversial as well.

I don't wanna discuss the entirety of Evangelion because that would take too much time and besides you can do your own researching :3

Very simple box art. She looks like she's in stasis or in a sealed chamber. Yeah, that extra head looks weird if you see it like this XD

Revoltech Yamaguchi Review: Hot Rodimus

Hey guys!

I'ts been a while since I've gotten a new revoltech... I was so focused on getting the gundams I wanted that forgot about revoltech XD

Anyway, most of us grew up with the Transformers, the classic robot aliens that transforms into your everyday vehicle. I remember looking for the channel that shows this series when I was a kid. Transformers is one of those things that pops to mind when you say "mecha" or robots in a conversation. 

I only knew the G1 & G2 series, from there I jumped to Beast Wars without knowing that I'm missing a lot. I don't really remember seeing the succeeding series being aired in my country.. 

My dad bought me a lot of transformers before.. Thinking back now, I really wish I was taking care of my toys :( 

Aside from Transformers, there were also a lot of awesome shows being shown that time like the original power rangers and various sentai series, Masked Rider, He-Man, Thundercats and the list goes on...

These series' are already icons of our generation, people will always say "nothing beats the classics" and it's pretty damn true. I mean, when I first saw the Transformers movie by Michael Bay I was so stoked and filled with excitement. After watching it, I can't get over what I just saw. Then the sequels came.. from there.. I noticed how crappy the modern designs are :/  

Nothing really beats the classics... That's why when I decided to collect transformers again.. I want to stick to the classic designs only... I might take a break from gunpla or not do it as often as before. I still love gundams though, I still have a list of "to buy kits" haha

Anywaaaaaaaaaay...... Let's get to the review, the reason why I'm posting this in the first place :D

On my post yesterday, I said that I was initially suppose to get Starscream from Great Toys but due to a turn of events, I ended up with Hot Rod which is also good ;D I'm still waiting for Starscream though :3

If you're wondering why the box looks thrashed.. I have no idea as well XD I was helping the one of the staff to look for Starscream.. To my my demise, I was about to leave when the lady said "Hot Rodimus" I immediately looked back to see how it looks like.. When I pulled it out of the shelf I was so surprised to see the box like this XD Good thing the figure inside is not damaged ;D Also, because of this I got it for a really cheap price hehehe >:D

Hot Rod is one of the earliest releases of Yamaguchi, numbered 47, he's next to starscream. The box is very simple unlike the newer ones or the book types but nonetheless this still shows some charm. They actually look good in person :D

Sneak Peek Revoltech Review: Hot Rodimus

Hey guys!

Now that I've secured a nice paying job, I now have a source of icome :D From there I decided to get this guy :D


                                         

I was suppose to get Starscream but there was a misunderstanding in Great Toys, where I buy most of my stuff :D Apparently, they don't have Starscream in stock :( 

I was about to go when I saw this guy :D It was like a holy grail XD I know it's weird to buy a transformers character that doesn't transform but I got him for the articulation :D I've rekindled my love for Transformers :) It was ages since I held one.. I lost all my transformers when I was a kid due to moving from house to house a lot :/ *sigh* 

This guy will be the start of my Transformers section :D I don't plan to collect a huge amount.. Only a selected few.. I don't really appreciate the Movie versions.. I only love the Generation's 1, 2 and Armada... Besides, I only have love for Starscream, Hot Rod, Sideswipe and Jet fire. So maybe I'll focus on those characters :D

Revoltech Yamaguchi review: Evangelion Evolution unit-03/Bardiel

Didn't expect it to post it today XD

Anywaaaay.... If you read the previous post, you'll know that I bought this today from the warehouse of my favorite hobby store. It was the only thing that really got my attention (aside from the Vash the Stampede revoltech but I'll get that next time.)

Info about the series:

Evangelion is one of the series that's already synonymous to the word "anime" it's one of the old school animes that up to know is still recognized by a lot of people. Thanks to the remakes after all.

It is one of my favorite anime shows. It's a classic already, it's awesomeness is at par with Gundam. A lot of people would wanna see which would be stronger. An EVA or a Gundam. If you ask me... It depends on the pilot. 

Evangelion is a very mature anime because of all the gore and nudity. When you first see it, the pictures are not enough to describe what kind of show it is, you need to watch it to fully absorb the concept. The show is famous and infamous at the same time. Famous because of how amazing the story is and infamous because of the original ending for the show. If you watched the original series up to the last episode... You will be mindf*cked... This angered a lot of fans because the writers pretty much turned it into crap fest.... They ruined a perfectly amazing show.

Thank god they decided to re-do the last two episodes and pretty much summed it up properly. Although the show got a proper ending, the fans are still perplexed on what the hell happened. The writers then decided to restart, making a project called "Rebuild of Evangelion". This time, the show is in HD and a lot of scenes were changed as well the plot. 

This is Bardiel, the 13th angel to appear. I dunno what his real face is since he possed Unit-03, poor Toji, who would've thought that an angel can posses an EVA. Good thing he survived ;D Anyway, since the EVA was possesed by an angel NERV was forced to restrain it and destroy it. If you wanna know more, watch the anime :D

Enough history lesson, let's go to the review :D

Sneak peek review: Revoltech Eva evolution unit 03

Morning guys!!

I just bought him today after paying for my application for TESDA NCII test (it's a culinary thing...)
I remembered that the warehouse of my favorite hobby store will be on the way so I decided to drop by.

 I was curious as well on how the warehouse looked liked. I was freakin' big @_@ Racks filled with toys and figures everywhere!!! It was like nirvana for me hahaha!!

Of course I checked their gundams first but nothing really gets my attention so I went straight to the revoltech area... DAMN!! It's paradise hahaha!! I haven't seen that many boxes in my life @_@

anyway.... This grabbed my attention:

I bought it immediately without thinking it over hahaha!! and because they don't have Unit-01 available :p 

But still.... this is one of my fave eva's because of how creepy and eerie it looks :D *yay for 4 arms* hahaha!!

I love creepy things :D

anyway.... I'll try to post the review within the day :D

Revoltech Yamaguchi review: Krauser II

WARNING! This review will contain a few profanities. If you are below 16, close this now. WHAT AM I SAYING? READ THIS F*CKING REVIEW AND BUY HIM!

Finally! I can post this review. Sorry for the delay, I was on vacation the last two days XD I was suppose to bring this and review it there but I realized that I won't have the time to do it.

I bought this figure from one of my favorite hobby stores. The owner ordered it for me :D Very nice of him :D Only cost me p760 hahaha!! one of the cheaper revoltechs since it's very old and "forgotten" according to the owner XD

Info about the series:

Detroit Metal City is a series I'm currently in to. It's about this guy Negishi, who moved to Tokyo from a provincial village because he want's to be famous as a musician. He has the skill's to play the guitar and to write songs. The only problem is no one would acknowledge his uhh... pieces. That's why he he got dragged into this metal band called "Detroit Metal City".

 A very famous metal band in japan. Since this type of genre is the complete opposite of what he likes... He pretty much hates it from time to time. The only thing that keeps him going is he doesn't want to disappoint his fans. So, every gig, he transform into Krauser II. A very different attitude from his usual self. Krauser is very wild and "demonic". He proclaims himself as the Demon king. 

Karuser II is the maine vocalist and Guitarist of DMC. He plays with Jagi-Sama (Bass) and Camus/Kamyu (Drums). I'm still deciding if I'm gonna buy them.

Revelotech Yamaguchi review: Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann

Good Afternoon guys! I present my first Revoltech, Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann! I bought it yesterday from one of my favorite stores in Greenhills for only P1.5k!! so cheap XD that's roughly $35. The moment I saw it, I instantly bought it!!

Gurren Lagann is one of my all time favorite anime shows to date. It's a show that's literally the size of galaxies in terms of awesomeness. I know Kotobukiya made model kits but they don't look that good. I was opting for the Tenggen Toppa Gurren Lagann version but the store doesn't have it on stock. Beside, this version is just beyond awesomenss @_@

So, let's start :D

Morning guys! I bought this yesterday in one of my favorite stores in Greenhills. I know it's not a gundam but it's one of the mecha's that I really want to own.

Look what I have here :3 I bought it yesterday in one of my favorite hobby stores. I was quite surprised with myself that I didn't buy a gundam hahaha!!

But honestly, this is one of the mecha's that I really want... as in reaaaaaaaaaallly want... hahaha!! So yeah, I impulsively bought it :3
