SD Gundam Review: BB Sangokuden #18 Shin Ryuso Ryubi

Moving on! 

I present to you the kindhearted virtuous leader of the Shu army, Liu Bei!

He' the main character of the show Brave Battle warriors. He's a simple man who values respect and kindness more than anything. Liu Bei is widely known as an ideal benevolent, humane ruler who cared for his people and selected good advisers for his government.

He also shows skills in combat and was good enough to get the loyalty of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, his oath brothers. 

Here he is in the Dynasty Warriors series. He's depicted a bit younger here unlike in previous games where he looks a little older.

SD Gundam Review: BB Sangokuden #19 Shin Raiso Chohi

Moving on... I present to you another character from the Sangokuden series, Zhang Fei! He fought along side Guan Yu and Liu Bei to rid the land of various corrupt overlords. 

He is one of the founders of the Shu Army and a blood brother to Liu Bei and Guan Yu. Unlike his 2 brothers, Zhang Fei is a very carefree happy go lucky guy.

The three met by coincidence and they believe that it was destiny that brought them together, being impressed by Liu Beis virtues, he and Guan Yu swore an oath that they will support him no matter what. 

He usually laughs at the face of battle because he enjoys the feeling especially when he's challenged. Think of him as Lu Bu but more friendly haha (Lu Bu is the demonic super warrior in their time.)

Here he is in the Dynasty Warriors series.

SD Gundam Review: BB Sangokuden #20 Shin Okasu Kanu

Good evening guys!

As promised, here's a new review! Also, I wanna show my hand painting skills :D

The Sangokuden line are characters based on the famous Three Kingdoms saga from china. I love the history of this epic tale. I memorized all the officers of each faction and replayed the game so much.

It's so famous a game was made after it; Dynasty Warriors. As you've guessed it, I too play that game and DW 5 is my favorite.

Anyway, I don't know about the translations of his name but I know him as Guan Yu. He is one of the High rank officers of the Shu Army (they're the good guys.) And made a blood oath to their Leader Liu Bei making him a blood brother which basically means that he's family.

He's called the "God of War" because of his overpowering strength and stamina. here he is in other representations:

You've probably seen him in some antique stores or Chinese venues. He's the guy with the long beard and uses a dragon spear his signature weapon.

Anyway, you didn't come here for a history lesson so on with the review!

SD Gundam Review: BB Sangokuden Guo Jia

Hey Guys! Long time no post.

I just got back from malaysia from my internship. Can't believe that it's finally over :(
I need to look for a job now so I can have more funds to support this awesome hobby haha!

Anyway.......

I've been dying to build gunpla :)) I have 2 pending kits now that this one is done.. What's the other one besides the overdue MG Freedom you say? well, it's a secret hahaha!

So yeah, from my previous post, this kit was given to me as a bday present from a good friend of mine :) She knows how much I miss gunpla and being surrounded by cheap gunpla's in malaysia kills me because I can't buy them D:

I was really surprised that she bought one for me. 

I don't know the story of this guy the name "Guo Jia" is familiiar... I think he's one of the strategist of Wei before Sima Yi appeared... You can research that yourself haha 

What I do know is that it's modeled after the Gundam Virsago from After War: Gundam X. 

So let's start with the review :D

SD Gundam Review: BB Sangokuden Oath set

Good evening everyone!

Today I present you the BB Sangokuden Oath set. This set contains Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang fei in clear color. It's very beautiful in person, the pictures somewhat made them look metallic XD

For those who don't know, BB Sangokuden is a series based on the Chinese epic "Romance of The Three Kingdoms". To sum it up, China was divided into three kingdoms: Shu, Wu and Wei. Each Kingdom is ruled by an emperor namely: Liu Bei, Sun Jian (Technically his son Sun Ce started the army) and Cao Cao respectively. 

What's great about this series is that they tell you how the Three Kingdom war unfolded using gundams XD It's quite a nice combination if you ask me. Each character is modeled after a specific gundam, mostly the main characters in a series.

It's called the oath set because this represents the time when the three individuals: Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhan Fei made an oath to each other that they will only die by each others side. If you wanna find out more, there's a lot in the internet that have accurate data concerning the Three Kingdom War. If reading is not your thing, just play any Dynasty Warriors game hahaha!! They're pretty accurate in re-telling the said epic story.

For this review, I'm only gonna show how I build Liu Bei because it's pretty redundant if I showed it to you three times. They all have the same body construction, they just differ in detail, armor and weapons.

Sneak peek review: BB Sangokuden Oath set

Good afternoon guys :D

As stated from my previous post, I'm pretty much going crazy over SD kits XD I got this today, as usual, it's always a debate what to get whenever I enter the store! I chose this over the HG AGE-2, that's how crazy I am for SD kits hahaha!!

But this is not just any SD kit, it's a BB sangokuden set, the "Oath set" to be exact. It's the clear versions of Liu bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei's first forms in the series. They don't have upgrades yet, so they only have basic armor and stuff. 

It's called the oath set because this is the time when these three individuals made an oath to die by each others side. Read up on the Three kingdoms, it's pretty epic :)

I was surprised how cheap this is considering that it's clear version set with 3 characters. Usually, the clear kits cost more than p1k and that only uncludes 2 characters. I got this for a really cheap price since I have a membership discount already :3 Permanent 10% discount all the way XD

I'll probably build Liu Bei first :3 Stay tuned!

Gunpla this year.

Just sharing my thoughts :D

I have a great feeling that the gunpla line up this year will be awesome! A lot of awesome kits coming, from SD to HG to RG to MG scales. 

Bandai sure has a lot up their sleeves! Can’t wait for more AGE kits, especially the AGE-3 being revealed so early @_@

The SD line are getting a few kits as well! Still debating if the SD Age-1 is worth it :3 I definitely want the BB knight gundam, it’s looking awesome and simplistic. 

For the HG line, Universal Century is getting a lot of love this year, most notably the Gundam Unicorn suits. That Zaku Sniper is in my must buy kits :D If you’ve seen the episode that it appeared, you’ll know how bad ass that zaku is \m/ Also, the Delta Gundam is finally having its first official model form. Also, the AGE line keeps on coming and coming….. It’s like bandai’s pushing this shows limit XD It’s not even a year yet and AGE already has a crap load of HG and AG… Not to mention the incoming MG and SD scales @_@ 

Of course, the most recent series, AGE is finally being accepted my most people, it doesn’t have that “kiddy” feel to it anymore… For me, it’s a combination of previous series in terms of characters and plot. The AGE-3 suit is looking like ZZ gundam…. it separates into two parts @_@ and that massive weapon… It somehow resembles the Seravee from Gundam 00 as well XD

For MG, nothing much really, it’s just the Banshee and the AGE-1 Titus and Sparrow… I still think bandai is pulling a cheap trick by selling the AGE-1 3 times XD Why can’t they just include the extra runners in one box @_@ I’m sure people would want that more XD Unless, you badly want to display all 3 of them at once… 

Why did they have to make Blitz Gundam next :/ I’m waiting for the Buster Gundam XD That’s my 2nd fave next to the Strike in the GAT machines \m/ I do plan to complete the GAT series :D just the first 5…. I don’t like the others… 

WHEN ARE WE GONNA GET AN MG FOR GUNDAM X?! seriously…….. I’m sure I’m not the only one waiting for it…. C’mon bandai, listen to your people XD Stop pushing AGE, it’s already on the hot spot XD too much and it might loose its touch :3

For the Real grade… Bandai sure is random with their line up but I love it :D Didn’t expect the RX-178 to be next.. In both colors too @_@ I was expecting Zeta Gundam or 00 Raiser XD I’ve been wanting to buy a RG for quite some time now, I just can’t decide which one though @_@ they’re all awesomely good @_@

There you have it, my insights on the upcoming kits :D Another year of spending like crazy :)) I seriously need to add more space for displaying -_- 

Can’t wait to build those kits I badly want XD

SD Gundam Review: SD RX-78-2

RX-78-2 is one of the gundams I don't mind buying a lot XD hahaha!! You can never have too many of this guy \m/ He is the grand daddy of all gundams  after all :D

This is my 3rd RX-78-2 kit, my 1st is the HG 1/144 Ver. G30th and the 2nd is the regular HG 1/144. I picked this up because it's very cheap and the best representation of the RX-78-2 in SD form, I don't like the SD ver. G30th because of the color scheme being too pale for me.

I bought this last Wednesday in my favorite hobby store along with a HG 1/144 Hyaku Shiki (I'll build that later if I'm not lazy haha).

Anyway, let's get started :D

Here's the box art, very simple but awesome! It has the G-Generation logo as well (it's a game which I'm also playing XD)

Hello guys! Here's my loot for today :D I was suppose to buy 2 more but I'll be broke XD

So I chose the ones the I really want the most :3

Namely:

- SD RX-78-2 the re-released version, with opening parts to reveal the inner frame
- HG 1/144 Hyaku Shiki, Char's Gold mobile suit :D

I was suppose to but the HG 1/144 Guntank and Guncannon too but I'll be exhausting my savings hahaha!!

So yeah... I'll do the SD first :D stay tuned for the review \m/
